
Pushing 60: It's OK To Say "Not Today".

❤️ Hello From My Heart ❤️
Sometimes we need to set healthy boundaries for both ourselves and others.
This took me almost a lifetime to learn.
Being Codependent most of my life, it was hard for me not to put on my "Super Sue Cape"
and try to save the day.
I've always loved helping people but have had trouble finding balance between self-care and being of service.
I would both look and feel run down, burned out as well as feeling very stressed.
When I felt all these things I became resentful.
Finding balance has been a journey but I am getting better at it.
Learning the power of "not today" had made more time for me to process people, situations they bring as well as emotions.
I still assist others with a loving heart, but now I also take time out for my mental, spiritual and
physical health.
I can honestly say I am practicing balance.
Am I master of it?
Not today, but I will be.
I'm a work in progress and still very much
"under construction".
