Finding The Hidden Gift In All Situations

❤️ Hello From My Heart ❤️
Sometimes life can throw us some curve balls.
The past 2 weeks certainly did for me.
In a week and a half, I had lost one of my front teeth in a meatball parm sub (not kidding), the bearing on my SUV went kaput, causing the engine to seize, thus blowing it completely.
Then, my phone died.
I felt the "Why Me's" coming on and a few thoughts had popped into my head:
"What is this teaching me?"
"What do I need to move forward?"
I had learned the art of "Flipping The Script" a long time ago.
Flipping the script isn't about ignoring or sweeping the problems under the perverbial carpet, it's about
acknowledging what went wrong, but finding the Hidden gifts that also come with the challenges.
...and I didn't have to sugar coat or minimalize it, either.
Oh, I yelled, cussed, let out my frustrations and then after sitting with the anger, let it go and decided to see the hidden gems in these situations.
As far as the tooth went, it needed to be replaced anyway, it was discolored from over 20 + years of use.
I wanted it to match my other front tooth and this forced me not to procrastinate anymore.
I no longer have to worry about how mismatched my two front teeth are anymore in photos...or ever!
What a gift!
Luckily, I had an extended warranty on the drive train and engine.
My SUV only had a little over 50K miles,
so it was still covered!
I just received my car back a few days ago, with a
brand new engine!
Again, what a gift!
It's like driving a brand new car.
As far as my phone goes, I've upgraded it to something much better and bought a prettier case, too.
Definitely an "out-with-the-old-in-with-the-new"
scenario.
I'm happy all went well. These situations taught me to be patient and trust that all would be well.
In my lifetime, I've experienced a lot of what I call
"Snowball Situations" when multiple inconvenient things happen.
I've learned not to ignore my frustrations, to feel and vent them out, then move forward and find solutions.
Then thank God in advance for helping me work things out.
In other words, "Flip The Script".
All My Love,
Sue
